All in exclusive areas and with expert tuition, but also with a chance to try things out yourself.

When I first landed on Tenerife, where the sci-fi like Martian desert morphs into lush green forest, and then shoots up 4km to the snowy pinnacle of Vulcan of Teide, I thought to myself - this has to be one of the most interesting islands I have ever seen. If only there were less tourists…
I then sailed West to La Gomera. A forgotten land, devoid of a major airport and no hotel resorts in sight. Full of history (Christopher Columbus set sail from here to discover America), its imposing mountains hide an enchanted rainforest. Fresh bananas and avocadoes, delicious local cuisine, peace – locals truly savour time. A sunset over El Hierro from the top of the Garajonay mountain (UNESCO) is truly unforgettable - see background picture. Our adventure will be a combination of adventurous sailing hops between islands, and on-island exploration – for this we usually hire cars.
The itinerary is moulded by the weather and mood of the crew – quite possibly we will have to decide between visiting El Hierro or La Palma. Neither will disappoint.
Canary Islands enjoy eternal Spring, 20-25°C, and stable trade winds - ideal for sailing. Usually we wear shorts and t-shirt, and if it is windy, a sweatshirt at most.
Explore the cradle of European culture from onboard a beautiful 2018 Bavaria 51. Escape the crowds and experience authentic Cyclades experience including the famous Delos, Mykonos, Ios, and Santorini. Weather statistic for November promise pleasant temperatures, but also some spirited sailing.
Our first itinerary is a fully catered Wander the Waves adventure holiday experience that will take you throughout the northern Cyclades including the beach thermal hot springs in Loutra; imposing cities of Syros; the mythical island of Delos, the birthplace of Apollon and his twin sister Artemis, which temples once stood as the centre of the universe; and its neighboring Mykonos, which probably needs no introduction.
Second week will see a shift to an ambitious experience building sail which will span the majority of Cyclades islands. Expect a focus on seamanship and sailing itself. The rewards will be an incredible experience, a solid logbook entry, and possibility to see islands of names such as Milos, Santorini, Ios, Paros, Mykonos, and Syros. Ability to join watch rotas, willingness to learn, partaking in running the ship, and building the crew are some of the investments you will make in order to make this an experience like no other!
